(Tonkawa, OK) July 1, 2017:  Farmers Cooperative Association is pleased to announce that Daniel Koelsch has accepted a promotion to Manager, Grain Operations at Farmers Cooperative Association, Tonkawa OK.

“Daniel has shown the ability to manage locations that can originate, store and ship quality grain.  We believe that he will be able to produce that same result across all of our locations.” stated General Manager, Bret Wilson.  “He will be working with all of our locations to be sure that we are providing a quality product and adding value to our members delivered grain products.” Wilson added.

Daniel joined Farmers Cooperative Association in 2004 while working in high school.  He has worked at the Blackwell location and managed the Kildare and Ranch Drive locations.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2015.  He is a member of the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program Class 18.  He and his wife Shelsey live in Ponca City.  While not working he enjoys hunting and fishing.

(Tonkawa, OK) June 5, 2017:  Farmers Cooperative Association is excited to announce that Lucas Whaley has joined Farmers Cooperative Association of Tonkawa as Location Manager of the Perry Oklahoma location.

“Lucas has been with Farmers Cooperative for a short time and it is evident that he possesses the drive and determination that we need to make this a very successful location,” stated General Manager, Bret Wilson.  “Lucas has a great personality and a focus for detail that will serve our customers and organization well.   We are very pleased to be able to find a candidate that is such a good fit for this opportunity.  In addition to his responsibilities at Perry, he will be responsible for working with all locations and vendors concerning our feed operations to improve service and efficiency.” Wilson added.

Lucas graduated high school at Cleveland Oklahoma.  His interests include training and riding horses, working on hot rods, and spending time with his family. He takes extreme pride in his work and is ready to make a positive change in Perry.  He has several years of experience of working in a family business of video and sound in national broadcasting.  Lucas will graduate in December 2017 with an Animal Science degree from Oklahoma State.

 

 

 

 

 (Tonkawa, OK) February 6, 2017:  Farmers Cooperative Association announced today that Jonathan Bergmark has joined Farmers Cooperative Association of Tonkawa as Agronomy Department Manager.

Bergmark is an experienced agronomist having grown a significant producer base in his previous 2 years working for Mid-West Fertilizer in the NE Oklahoma and SE Kansas area.  He has significant experience in working with producers building trust and bringing recommendations that will increase productivity and profitability.  Bergmark received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from University of Tennessee at Martin. 

“I am excited to have Jonathan join our team, he will be a great addition,” stated General Manager, Bret Wilson.  “Jonathan is a talented and aggressive individual.  We have a very productive region that will benefit from his experience, specifically with technology and soybean and corn production.  It is very rewarding when we can hire someone with the skills that he brings.  We are especially proud to bring an agronomy focus back to Farmers Cooperative Association.” Wilson added. 

Jonathan and his wife Lindsay will reside in Stillwater, OK.         

 

 

  

Farmers Cooperative Association hires Bret Wilson as General Manager

Bret has 24 years of experience serving agricultural cooperatives that has prepared him to bring leadership, trust, and a renewed confidence to Farmers Cooperative Association.  Prior to joining Farmers Cooperative Association, he was Interim General Manager at Hooker Equity Exchange leading that organization during a difficult financial period.  He has a strong background in finance, grain and financial accounting, merchandising, risk management and operations.  He has owned a consulting business providing services to farmer cooperatives, served as President at ProValue a business consulting and human resource company.  Prior to that he served in numerous capacities at Triangle Insurance Company serving in numerous departments of the organization, including marketing, member services, claims, project management, and compliance and technology systems.  He worked for two years at PCCA a cotton marketing cooperative that included responsibility for setup and support for their accounting and marketing systems along with producer relations.  He started his cooperative career as a local cooperative controller responsible for all accounting and commodity functions.  He has a BS in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University.  He and his wife Jyme Kay have 4 children and presently live between Perry and Stillwater.  Please help us welcome him to the Farmers Cooperative Association family as we start a new era.
