(Tonkawa, OK) February 6, 2017:  Farmers Cooperative Association announced today that Jonathan Bergmark has joined Farmers Cooperative Association of Tonkawa as Agronomy Department Manager.

Bergmark is an experienced agronomist having grown a significant producer base in his previous 2 years working for Mid-West Fertilizer in the NE Oklahoma and SE Kansas area.  He has significant experience in working with producers building trust and bringing recommendations that will increase productivity and profitability.  Bergmark received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from University of Tennessee at Martin. 

“I am excited to have Jonathan join our team, he will be a great addition,” stated General Manager, Bret Wilson.  “Jonathan is a talented and aggressive individual.  We have a very productive region that will benefit from his experience, specifically with technology and soybean and corn production.  It is very rewarding when we can hire someone with the skills that he brings.  We are especially proud to bring an agronomy focus back to Farmers Cooperative Association.” Wilson added. 

Jonathan and his wife Lindsay will reside in Stillwater, OK.         



Farmers Cooperative Association hires Bret Wilson as General Manager

Bret has 24 years of experience serving agricultural cooperatives that has prepared him to bring leadership, trust, and a renewed confidence to Farmers Cooperative Association.  Prior to joining Farmers Cooperative Association, he was Interim General Manager at Hooker Equity Exchange leading that organization during a difficult financial period.  He has a strong background in finance, grain and financial accounting, merchandising, risk management and operations.  He has owned a consulting business providing services to farmer cooperatives, served as President at ProValue a business consulting and human resource company.  Prior to that he served in numerous capacities at Triangle Insurance Company serving in numerous departments of the organization, including marketing, member services, claims, project management, and compliance and technology systems.  He worked for two years at PCCA a cotton marketing cooperative that included responsibility for setup and support for their accounting and marketing systems along with producer relations.  He started his cooperative career as a local cooperative controller responsible for all accounting and commodity functions.  He has a BS in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University.  He and his wife Jyme Kay have 4 children and presently live between Perry and Stillwater.  Please help us welcome him to the Farmers Cooperative Association family as we start a new era.
